Driveway half way

Finally the sun came up, and will stay for the rest of the week.

Today, the driveway is now half way done. All formwork complete. Tomorrow we will have the crossing pour, then on Saturday, the main section.

The driveway will have same colour as our gutters and main door` ColourBond Loft©.

We also had the Masterton electrician come in and add the missing power pint in the garage for the vaccum unit. Punched few holes in to get the wiring across, as it's not possible from the roof, as there is no access. This is something Masterton missed and now costing them to come back and do it again. They will have to come back to patch the wall and paint.

Well, this Saturday, also booked for removalists for the big move!

Not sure how both parties will work together. Gulp!!

Final touches

We had the plumber come in on Saturday to install the forgotten spa motor. So now that's done, the only items left are the cooktop and the rangehood cover.

SMEG gas cooktop (nearly)

SMEG ducted rangehood (nearly)

SMEG Electric Oven

SMEG Dishwasher

Well we have ducted vacuum unit installed, but looks like they missed to place a power point for the unit!

No power point to run it!

I was aware so I kept reminding the Site Supervisor about the power point for our spa, but not knowing what this unit looked like and how it would be powered, I missed it too.

I now expect the Site Supervisor to come back and install a power point for it. I already paid over $1200 for it and do not expect to pay a penny more.

And finally, here is our new front yard statue, to conceal the rainwater tank service hole.

Fence Off

The fence has been taken away. Apart from the dunny in the middle, the house is now standing by itself.

The electricity to the grid is finally connected.

The main bathroom shower screen is also complete and looking good.

The TV/Foxtel/data points installed. Upstairs family room wall point needs a cover for extra hole.

Ducted vacuum outlet, lid already broken. Surely one would carry a spare one in the van, in case one is broken!?

And finally, the Hills Hub Box. Can see phone coming in and TV splitter, but not sure about the Foxtel and LAN data termination. I'll keep you posted on this.

The security system and keypad also installed with all of the door and PIR sensors. What? you expected photos of them too? Sorry, no can do. But it is a back to base dial-up system.

Still no stairway carpets, gas meter or signs of excavation for the rainwater detention tank.
