We had our power poll installed today. This means we might have power during our PCI.

Shower screen done

Had a meeting with our SS yesterday (He was going to postpone yet again!) and discussed about the driveway changes and the power pole ground level. Since the front yard ground will be levelled down to the level of the kerb, I had to inform our SS and make sure the power pole was installed at the new level.

Today, the ensuite shower screen is in place now, as well as all of the the bathroom mirrors.

Main bathroom shower screen ready to be installed. But I think it is the wrong size! Too wide.

The main vanity basin still missing (sitting on the floor next room), with wall-to-wall mirror. The towel holder visible in the background, will move to the left hand side.

The electrical box is also installed with the fuse boxes and thr 3-phase power.

Plumbing & Electricals

Today finally some work done.

We had the electrician come in and do all the light fittings, downlights, power switches and power points. Also done the toilet vents.

The plumber was finishing off the toilets and drainage for basins and kitchen sink.

Some electrical work done

Looks like some external electrical cut-in work has happened today (Not sure inside).
Front door. I would have preferred the ceiling cut joint the other direction.

Outdoor lights point

Outdoor light for future alfresco

Back laundry door

I had a peek inside and from one window gap I could see the internal stairs done (yey!), but not visible enough for a photo. Maybe when I meet the SS next week, hopefully, as he cancelled this week's both Tuesday's and Thursdays inspection appointments.

Internal cabling work

All data cabling has been run through. These include TV, Foxtel, CAT6, Alarm & antenna on the roof.

We also have the ducted vacuum ducts installed and wired with 4 outlets.

Also some carpentry work for the bases of all the wash basins.

The sliding door frames are in.

The back of the house weatherboard installed. The only section of the house that is not brick.

Electrical & Air-Con

The electrical wiring rough in has been done today. Lots of wires everywhere. From memory, they look all in the right places.

Upstairs hall way.

They missed the allocation for electrical point for the ensuite spa. I could not see any cabling.

Also installed on the same day, the Air-Con ducting and distribution unit.

Main distribution unit.

Now to some issues.
You might have read in my previous posts about the air-con dropping being located in the wrong room. Well this did not get corrected, that it would have taken 15 minutes, now the air-con people have placed the ducting using the wrong dropper point!

Wrongly placed dropper point. Bricks already knocked for access.

Should be on this side of the wall.

I plan to meet our SS tomorrow and make sure all issues are resolved before they go any further.

Lifestyle Cabling planned

Well, I spent some time today planning the free to air TV, cable TV, phone and data cabling for the house.

Part of the deal, we get Hills Home Hub, which is a central point for all communication cabling. This hub also has the new NBN (National Broadband Network) connection in the near future.

There will be 3 TV+CTV+Data points, extra data point in the office, phone for landline and another for alarm back-to-base dialer.

Alarm sensors and reed switches for security on both levels.

Wireless ADSL hub to service internet to the house, as well as cat5 to all TV points and office.

Total upgrade bill, around $1500.
