A human error was the problem!
A loose connection at the fan box that was causing it to intermittently turn on or not turn on at all, had finally caused a board to blow up and shut the whole thing down.
After contacting our Masterton Site Supervisor and asking for a quick resolution, Temperzone technician came in 2 days later and resolved the issue.
Now the panel shows correct temperature, cools, as well as heat the house like before, within 5 minutes.
Glad it finally got resolved after 4 weeks and 4 technician visits.

Air-con broken down already!
Our Temperzone air-con just gave up, on a day that we need some cooling, it is no go.
It stopped working (well when we came home after work on Friday and turn it on) last night and I cannot make it start again.
Power on, display on, temp correct, followed all instruction, still no go. Same this morning.
We have hardly used it, maybe few days to warm the house, and had the cool setting on maybe once or twice. Worked fine then.
I have to ring on Monday and see how long before they can come and fix it.

Air-con Outdoor unit & The Move
With all the rain we had this week, I had not had the chance to put a photo of the air-con outside unit.
It takes no more than 5 minutes to feel the heat all around the house. 10 minutes, and we can turn the fan from high to low. Even with having tiled floors, we can walk bare foot no problem.
I'll find out in 6 months if the cooling would be the same or not. Keep an eye on that post. Also, time will tell how long the unit will last before problems, if any, arise. Being Australian made, parts and service would be quite reasonable.
I'm hoping the rain will stop this coming week and the driveway will get done, at least the council crossing, then the main section poured next Monday or Tuesday.
I have booked the removalists for coming Saturday. It will be back breaking and tiring full day. Moving from our rental in the morning, then from storage by lunch time.

Air-con and Robes
On Friday we had our Air-Con vents installed and controller.
Also the carpenters have finished off the robes with shelving and hangers.
All the plumbing is also complete, including kitchen sink and powder room.

Rain, Rain, Go away!
Rain foretasted all of next week. I bet you anything, the small section of our roof tiles not completed last week, will claim rain days! AND no work will be carried forward. As if work was going anywhere, now it will be at stand still.
The issue with our air-con dropper point (move from one room to the correct room, on the other side of the wall) still issue, as the plan clearly states box square corner, but the move done (finally after months of asking), but a corner triangle. The carpenter taken the quick way out of it. I hope our SS will correct this ASAP. Not Happy M!
It looks like only few hours of work per week is being done. This week, eaves installed. That's all!

Some of the site rubbish has been cleaned and taken away.

Electrical & Air-Con
The electrical wiring rough in has been done today. Lots of wires everywhere. From memory, they look all in the right places.
At main door entrance
Lighting
Upstairs hall way.
They missed the allocation for electrical point for the ensuite spa. I could not see any cabling.
Also installed on the same day, the Air-Con ducting and distribution unit.
Main distribution unit.
Now to some issues.
You might have read in my previous posts about the air-con dropping being located in the wrong room. Well this did not get corrected, that it would have taken 15 minutes, now the air-con people have placed the ducting using the wrong dropper point!
Wrongly placed dropper point. Bricks already knocked for access.
Should be on this side of the wall.
I plan to meet our SS tomorrow and make sure all issues are resolved before they go any further.

Air-Con issues
Looks like we are getting over charged for the air-con upgrades by as much as double!
For the same Temperzone 18Kw system, we were quoted $2880 extra, plus $475 per extra zone. Other people building with Masterton have had quotes for $1350 upgrade price for the same Temperzone 18Kw system and only $220 extra per zone!
I will question Masterton on Monday about this, having a copy of the above lower quote prices.
Also, after having read the difference in technology in air-con, digital, stepping and inverter, we might change and opt to get Temperzone 18Kw digital scrolling model, hopefully at the lower price.
Update 17/7/2012
After much chasing and deals, I was able to get Temperzone 18Kw upgrade for $1887 and $235 per extra zone. Totalling around $2500 mark.

Air-Con Selection
Just been to our Air-con appointment at Bella Vista.
As anyone would have guessed, the Masterton Air-Con Special deal of $5999 for a $13K RRP system, is no where near what our house requires to heat or cool.
For $5999 you get a 16Kw (21hp) TimeZone brand (never heard of) 2 zone 12 outlet system. We require anywhere from 18Kw to 20Kw to have a more practical 2 zones at the same time operation. With this system we would have been running full all the time and never heat/cool the rooms.
We were recommended an upgrade to DAIKIN 18Kw ($4500) 4 zone system (extra 2 zones from deal with $500 extra per zone). This will allow 2 to 3 zones operational at any one time (totalling to 18Kw), plus having 4 zones will allow to separate each level into 2 groups.
We could upgrade the TimeZone brand to 18Kw for $2500, but opted with Daikin for known brand name.
It is an inverter module, allowing more quieter and cost effective run in the long run.
With the upgrade, we can have kitchen/family room area as well as bedrooms upstairs at the same time, or bedrooms and upstairs lounge etc.
Comes with simple to use 1 controller.
The price, extra $5500. That totals to $11,500. Still a good value I guess.

Flooring & Air-Con
Today I received calls from both Accent Carpets & Flooring and Penrith Air Supply for our upstairs timber flooring and our ducted air-con options appointments.
So, for the next 3 days I'll be travelling around from one end of Sydney to the next.
Not sure if we will elect Laminate Timber or Bamboo Timber for the floors. Once I visit the showroom I'll have to make the decision.
As to the air-con, I hope they will offer a reputable manufacturer for the Masterton $5999 special offer. Luckily I have a relative who installs air-con systems and just a phone call away to ask for advice.
